Framis recently worked with Stahl to create Dream AQUA, a water-based version of their established Dream line of tapes for garment decoration and customised trimmings. They wanted to move away from dimethylformamide (DMFa)-based coatings towards a more sustainable and innovative water-based solution, and Stahl was their partner of choice.
“We chose Stahl because it’s the leading company in its field and offers elements that are very important to us, like product quality and excellent technical support,” says Matteo Foglietta, Innovation Manager. “We were able to achieve customisation in finishes and colours that we previously could not achieve with our first water-based product. And by significantly reducing DMFa, we mitigate the product’s environmental impact.”
Both our coating solutions and expert support exceeded Framis’ expectations. “We were easily able to achieve the same characteristics in the final product in comparison with the various tests done in the prototype stage,” adds Marco Bernardi, R&D Manager. “Stahl's support was crucial during the prototyping process – in fact, thanks to their experience and great expertise, any problems we encountered were solved quickly and with effective and practical solutions.”
The result is another success in Framis' history of researching and developing ever-new innovative and cutting-edge fashion solutions. “The product we developed together has helped us to crystallise our positioning as sustainable innovators, always in step with market needs,” says Matteo.
